INTERNATIONAL GROUP SUPERVISIOn

KATHLEEN MARRON
I am delighted to join up with Kathleen Marron of the Marron Alliance in launching an international supervision group in June 2024.
Kathleen and I share many things which is why we have decided to work together. We hold shared curiosity and we are both okay not knowing all the answers, we take our work seriously but try not to take ourselves too seriously. We both bring a systemic lens to our work, recognising that what goes on in the wider system impacts our clients, each of us and shows up in all our coaching and supervision work. We are both down to earth, normal people with a love and a joy in working with people. We also share that cognitive dissonance with the word ‘supervision’ and the connotations that it has, of being watched over, perhaps critically or parentally.
In contrast to that, the atmosphere that we want to encourage is that of adult learning, professional reflection and mutuality, for the benefit of your clients, your relationships with them and the world in which they all exist.
We deeply value the importance of difference and the learning opportunity it affords us if we are prepared to take it. Our aim is, in this group, to have as much difference represented as is possible in a small group of people.
