SEE YOUR ROLE (AND THE FUTURE) THROUGH NEW HORIZONS

A rare opportunity to pause and step back from the urgency of the everyday.

To think differently about your role as a leader, practitioner, or coach.

To notice not just the challenges in front of you, but the future that is still possible.

For the first time in Northern Ireland, Bill Sharpe, one of the originators of the Three Horizons Framework and author of The Patterning of Hope, will facilitate two workshops in Belfast, alongside John Hill and Anne McMurray.

These workshops are designed as an intentional contrast to the fast pace and surface-level demands of leadership life.

They are spaces to reflect, to ask the questions that rarely find air, and to explore practical ways of working with change. Not theory for its own sake, but tools, dialogue, and insight you can carry back into your own context.

Book your place

for either or both workshops

If this speaks to you we’d love you to join us. Step into a space of reflection, dialogue, and possibility with Bill Sharpe and peers who also feel the need for a different conversation.

  • Bill is a futures thinker who had a career as a research manager in the computer industry before he and his colleagues came up with the Three Horizons Framework (one of the most useful models to consider how to move from an ailing system to an emerging one). He lives in Wales where the glacial valleys and cragged tops are his laboratory for exploring how we connect our inner and outer knowledge for the benefit of humanity and our planet. We make a truth in how we live a life, he says. He shows us how to pattern hope through the simple means of awakening our awareness to the qualities of being and of being together in life.

WHAT THESE WORKSHOPS OFFER

  • Fresh perspective – space to think differently about your role and the systems you’re part of.

Hope and vision – a chance to reconnect with why you lead, and glimpse the future that is still possible.

Practical direction – real tools and ideas, rooted in the Three Horizons Framework, to help you move forward with clarity and with the right people beside you.

  • Make sense of the tensions between today’s demands and tomorrow’s possibilities.

Spot patterns of change already emerging.

Shape strategies that carry you from business-as-usual into the futures you want to create.

For the first time in Northern Ireland, you’ll be working directly with Bill Sharpe, one of the originators of the Three Horizons Framework and author of The Patterning of Hope, alongside experienced Belfast-based facilitators John Hill and Anne McMurray.

  • Senior leaders navigating complexity and wanting space to think beyond firefighting.

Change practitioners working in fast-shifting systems who need frameworks to guide action.

Coaches and facilitators who support others and want deeper tools for meaningful change.

This is for those willing to reflect, listen deeply, and engage with complexity. If you’re looking for instant answers or a tick-box exercise, these workshops are probably not for you.

No silver bullet with Steve Hearsum

Steve Hearsum is author of No Silver Bullet. Why there are no simple solutions to complex problems (for leaders, team coaches, facilitators and OD practioners) and 'What happens when the fragility of the leader meets that of the coach/consultant/practitioner/supporter?' In this session we will explore how we collude with others and delude ourselves to manage our own anxiety and shame. This event is for team coaches, facilitators and OD practitioners.
